What a recharge changes
Recharge service restores the specified refrigerant quantity after the system has been recovered and evaluated. Correct charge matters because both low and incorrect charge can reduce cooling performance.
Why the inspection matters
Low pressure does not identify the leak location or prove that every component is working. Visual checks, pressure behaviour and operating tests help determine whether a recharge is appropriate.
What to tell the shop
Describe when cooling stopped, whether any work was recently performed, and if you hear unusual compressor or fan noises. Book A/C service before peak summer demand when possible.
