Describe more than the noise
Tell the shop how the pedal feels, whether the steering wheel shakes, if the vehicle pulls and which warning lights are on. Those clues help focus the inspection.
Ask what was measured or observed
Brake service can involve friction material, rotors, calipers, hydraulics and electronic controls. The recommendation should explain which components are worn or faulty and why.
Act quickly on serious symptoms
A soft pedal, grinding, fluid loss or major change in stopping performance can be urgent. Reduce driving and arrange brake service promptly.
